We are stoked to welcome and to introduce you to our good friend, and most recent Two Selves Gallery artist, Regan Russell! Regan has been a longtime friend of the gallery and we are pleased to announce that we will be working with him to bring some killer new art to our collectors!
Regan is a San Diego native and artist who believes there is beauty in absurdity. He creates art that questions and humorously jabs at pop culture, identity, and celebrity. Regan's art, consisting of various digital as well as traditional media, often contains tongue-in-cheek statements on popular culture icons and puts characters from our lives into uncommon situations with a retro spin, often to comical ends. His works occasionally also serve as a tribute to musical influences who have impacted his life and helped to mold his creativity.
Regan's work has recently been featured in various galleries throughout California, and his popular artistic style has quickly garnered the attention of many art collectors resulting in a rabid fanbase clamoring for his newest print releases (check out his art appreciation group on Facebook). Now, for the first time, Regan and Two Selves will join forces to release the first print from his recent brush pen study!
We are pleased to announce RZA! The main edition of this awesome piece features a multi-layered red or blue screen print on a white lava foil that gives the piece variable dimension and really makes the print come to life. RZA is also available in more limited paper variants, as well as very few extremely limited hand finished variants!
